I missed out on my beautiful Bouquet once again. Of course, the main reason was that I absolutely cannot afford to purchase her at the moment....so it has me feeling quite down. However, Aquel should be here soon...& I cannot wait! She looks so adorable, & I have many toys for her. Melody, her name as of now, shall definitely be a child-like spirit among her more ethereal & romantic sisters.I also have to remind myself that I have Hello Kitty & Veritas (whom I adore) on pre-order, so I need to not spend so much until I may pay for them. Hopefully, Bouquet shall come around again at a better time. I am willing to spend the extra money on her if the timing is just right. I have pure determination for this flowery maiden!Edit: Although, I do admit that now I am looking at Little Red Riding Hood. I may be able to live without an Anne Shirley if I have her...especially with her red hair & bright green eyes....resisting temptation is so very hard with these lovely ladies.P.S. More photos coming soon!
LRRH is somewhat cheap, right? she seems like one of those dolls people are always using as custom bait, like china china.i too long for bouquet and veritas!
LRRH is at a decent price....so I will probably plan on purchasing her in a month or so. I truly have a lot of vet payments to catch up on, as well as some new doctor bills, so at this exact moment, it is tough! I love LRRH, she is so very cute & I like her stock dress a lot. I also love the character...I portrayed her in a Christmas play when I was little, so I would probably favor her anyway. =)Veritas is so beautiful!
i really want a redhead pullip with green eyes but of all the girls with either green eyes or red hair, none is quite right for my needs. :( i want longish curly red hair . . .
I feel the "don't have the money" pain. I seem to keep going backwards in my saving. I spent almost $200 on things for school this week. I'll feel better when I get the $200+ I'm owed for two sales, but still. I don't have the money I hoped I'd have. My dad better lay off the gambling and give me plenty when I get to school. *grumble* Stocking up on things like hair color, toilet paper, kitchen supplies, medicines, bath supplies, etc. is expensive! But on the subject of doll wanting, they just added some new pics to the Evangeline Ghastly site and now I really want her. http://www.evangelineghastly.com/evangeline/attic.htm*sigh* I could sell off one of my BJDs or Waxen and a couple Momokos to earn the money, but I like my collection how it is, so Evangeline will be something to save for. She's a limited edition of 750, but I don't think she's going to be super-popular just yet. The goth elegant look is only for certain people, so I'll have plenty of time to save up on one of my credit cards for her and her gorgeous dresses. She'll be an unusual addition to my BJD collection.Veritas is nice, but just not for me. Something about her face really reminds me of Fanatika, who's such a strong personality that I don't need two. Veritas also looks like she's related to Cornice somehow. But the Boondock Saints fangirl in me rally thinks any doll named Veritas should be male and have a twin named Aequitas. And I'm definitely so looking forward to finally getting Aquel! I feel like we've been waiting forever!
I seem to keep going backwards in my saving. - Exactly how I am feeling. I have a certain amount that I would use per month on my dolls, books, crafts, video games...but I have not even had that due to large expenses & bills. Just when I think I am going to catch up, something else happens to pop up! I know it may sound silly & selfish, but it is a little disheartening when one is used to having that bit of extra money. I know I shall catch up, it only requires patience on my part. Such a shame I have had to miss out on a few dolly desires the past month though. However, I am sure that I shall have more chances later on...=)Stocking up on things like hair color, toilet paper, kitchen supplies, medicines, bath supplies, etc. is expensive! - Oh my goodness, yes, they truly do. However, once you get stock up on them, you do not have to worry about spending the extra money until they are running low.Wow, Evangeline Ghastly is gorgeous! I see why you would like her...she is so elegant. The colors on the Cemetery Chic dress are beautiful, but the Tea & Sympathy design is amazing! Once you are able to buy her, you must take plenty of pictures.I was not sure if I would really like Veritas or not, but after seeing her official photos, I really cannot wait for her. Her long auburn hair is nice (hopefully it will not be a hassle), & I like the coloring of her uniform. The December Pullip supposedly has long blue/aqua hair, so I shall be quite curious on how she turns out.Aquel is so adorable! It also seems that, yes, her hair is indeed a shade of pink. =)
Yeah, Evangeline will fit perfectly with my collection, while still being something I don't already own. With funds as tight as they are, I'm trying to avoid repeats! I like how she has a more...Western look than other BJDs. She doesn't resemble an anime/manga character. I love my BJDs, but there's something quite Asian about them all and I'd rather have something a bit different. Nothing wrong with Asian style, of course, but like I said, I'm not looking for repeats right now.For something else different, I'd love a Sybarite, but one of those costs more than Evangeline and both her dresses! They're only 16" tall, too, so I don't really see where the giant cost comes in. I'm not at the point where I'll drop $700+ on that small a doll. My smallest BJD was $300 cheaper than that and he's still bigger than they are! And the big ones are only a little more than a Syb if you get them fully clothed and they're HUGE. There I can justify the cost, but not with a Sybarite. That's why Evangeline is my perfect next buy. Her clothes are gorgeous, they're unique in their delicacy and simplicity, and she's something new to add to my collection mix. The hard part is the waiting! But at least I'll be able to enjoy owner pics until I have enough.I think Veritas' hair will be similar to Cornice's and Zuora's. It looks like it's the same sort of texture.I'm really curious about Aquel's hair. It looks strawberry blonde to me, not overly pink. If it does turn out pink, it will be the first pink I've ever seen that photographs blondeish!
