current mood: happy

As mentioned in my journal, lastunicorn, Aquel has finally arrived! Her name is Melody June Bubbles, although you may simply call her Melody if you wish. She has such a sweet imagination & truly enjoys playing with all her dolls & toys. Honestly, she may be a bit more childish than my other ladies, but is also so very lovable:

I shall definitely do another photo shoot with her later...♥

Isn't she sweet? She seems like the type of lady you would like...in fact, she goes very well with Raphia. Both are such pretty little lolitas!

Heh, yours is definitely more childlike than mine. I haven't written her bio yet, but Carm's just as intelligent and precocious as Currant. She's not as vocal about it though. Currant's definitely the more outgoing and dominant of the two, though Carm's not a pushover. I quite like Aquel. I think she'll be one of the few Type 3s that sticks around. I've sold most of mine off from lack of bonding.

Carmody sounds so cute, definitely a good friend for Currant to have around! I love how their chemistry shows in your pictures. =)

All I own are Type 3s at the moment, so I am not sure how they truly compare to the other Types. Do you have a preference between the 1s, 2s, or 3s?

Museum Girls Myri and Ren

Type 2s are my favorites. I find them to be the most realistic. Their hands, feet and general proportions are a bit larger, so it balances out the gargantuan head better. They also have the best poseability of the three types, though (some) Type 1s have the neat ability to stand on their own. (My Noir can.) A lot of people don't like Type 2s because they "fall apart" more easily. Their joints can become loose, but it's not that difficult to pop an arm or a calf back on. And being able to pop off the hands makes it a lot easier to dress and popping off the feet means they can wear any kind of boots without the worry of foot breakage or it getting stuck inside the boot.

A lot of it has to do with the individual styles of the dolls. The Type 2s had a lot of offerings that I like, while the Type 3s haven't appealed to me as much. Type 2s have really strong and varied contenders like Princi, Fourrure, Fanatica, Afternoon, Chicca, Assa, the Cosmic girls, etc. Type 3s seem either less creative. At least, they do lately. They started out stronger with the Lans, Rida, Cornice and Rovam, but I quickly became bored with ones like Latte, Nina, Alte, Raphia and Greggia. This past year, I've been really disappointed with JP's styles. The Rozen Maidens weren't anything I wanted and the only dolls I really love from recent days are Aquel, Chill and Stica. And I do love Aquel, but three blondes in a row? She, Uncanricky and Hello Kitty are all at least a teense similar-looking. I'm looking forward to pictures of the blue-haired December girl. She's got potential! Not counting the Rozens, the last girl with unnatural hair was Zuora way back last year!

Oh my goodness Neen she is adorable! Even from these photos I can tell that she has so much personality...I really love her! I really am thinking about purchasing a Pullip for myself...I do not know anyone who owns one except you, but your photos and descriptions of them are just so enchanting... :)

They really do have so much personality, it's hard to believe! I have a Blanche who I've named Fallon Rose, she refuses to be a princess but she loves being a city girl! =)

Aww, Melody is such a sweetie pie! She seems to have popped right out of a flower~ I think she'd like the story of Thumbelina, I can see her acting the part perfectly! ♥

What a pretty little girl! She looks like she has a mischievous streak in her. I love the pink tint the lighting creates in her hair.
